NEW TO KINGDOM CITY? WELCOME!During our Sunday worship services, we offer age specific programming for kids up to grade 6. If you are new, we invite you to pre-register your family prior to your first visit, to ensure a faster check-in experience.
Early Childhood – Birth-Age 3 (Located on the main floor, through the family room)
We have a nursery program to serve children from 6 months to 18 months of age and a toddler program for those kids who are 18 months to three years old. The classroom participates in age-appropriate play, worship videos, and storytelling in a very nurturing environment with incredibly trained and screened leaders who will care for your little one.
Kindergarten – Age 4 to Kindergarten (Located downstairs in a separate room off the foundation room)
Our kindergarten room disciples children who are four years old until they enter grade one. They will engage in age-appropriate play and large group teaching with activities to help promote learning.
Elementary – Grades 1-4 (Located downstairs in the foundation room)
Kids dive deep into relationship with God and others through play time, worship, Bible teaching, and small group times. Large group teaching highlights God’s Big Story throughout scripture with a focus on scripture memorization and learning how to navigate the Bible all while receiving Gospel-focused teaching. Grade-specific small groups promote a deeper sense of belonging and understanding through guided conversations with leaders and hands-on application, activities, and games.
Grades 5/6 (Located in the Loft – up the stairs to the left of the Family Room)
Meeting up in The Loft, our grade 5 and 6's are taught leadership skills, spiritual disciplines, and practices as well as opportunities to serve throughout the church as they are prepared to enter middle school and transition out of KC Kids into KCYOUTH.
KNOW GOD
We want children to know God personally and biblically.
- Know God as Father — Creator, loving Father, holy, good, trustworthy, and sovereign.
- Know Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour — the centre of God’s redemptive story and the Gospel.
- Know the Holy Spirit — present with believers, forming Christlike fruit, guiding, comforting, and empowering.
- Know God through Scripture — understand God’s Big Story, grow in biblical literacy, memorize truth, and learn how to read and use the Bible.
- Develop a real relationship with God through prayer, worship, trust, and response.
GROW LIKE JESUS
We want children to be formed into the likeness of Christ.
- Grow in identity — understanding who they are because of who God is and what Christ has done.
- Grow in character — obedience, holiness, the fruit of the Spirit, repentance, forgiveness, courage, and love.
- Grow through relationships — family, friends, caring adult leaders, and belonging in the church community.
- Grow through spiritual practices — Scripture, prayer, worship, generosity, service, baptism, communion, and other rhythms that help children follow Jesus.
- Grow from borrowed faith toward an increasingly personal, resilient faith.
GO IN THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
We want children to live their faith outwardly through the power of the Holy Spirit.
- Discover and use the gifts God gives them to build up the church and serve others.
- Serve in their church, family, school, and community.
- Share the Gospel and their own testimony with clarity, humility, and courage.
- Pray for and minister to others with faith and compassion.
- Become disciple-makers who help others know and follow Jesus.
We are not babysitters; we are disciple-makers. These values describe the culture we protect while pursuing KNOW, GROW, and GO.
1. Scripture — Scripture is the foundation
The Bible is authoritative and central to what we teach. We help kids understand God’s Big Story, know the Gospel, handle Scripture with growing confidence, and connect biblical truth to everyday life.
2. Relationships — Discipling happens with people.
Children need to be known, loved, challenged, and encouraged. We prioritize meaningful relationships with God, family, trusted leaders, and peers because faith is caught as well as taught.
3. Active participation — Practice builds faith.
We create experiential ministry where children pray, worship, ask questions, open Bibles, serve, discuss, create, respond, and try things for themselves.
4. Power of the Holy Spirit — Children are participants in God’s Kingdom today.
We expect God to be at work in children. We teach them to recognize His presence, depend on Him, grow in the fruit of the Spirit, discover spiritual gifts, and minister with humility and wisdom.
5. Families — We reinforce the home.
Parents, families, and caregivers have a vital role in discipling their kids. We communicate with families clearly, celebrate spiritual milestones, provide practical tools, and help families carry faith beyond Sunday morning.
6. Safety — Every child should be known, protected, and welcomed.
We follow robust safety practices, create predictable and caring environments, and make thoughtful adaptations so children of differing needs and abilities can participate meaningfully in community.

We also have over 100 leaders who faithfully disciple our KC kids on Sunday Mornings! Each leader has been trained, had a background check, and are committed to serving regularly so they can build a relationship with your kid and help them foster a lasting relationship with Jesus.
To ensure your children receive the best care, we follow Plan to Protect® policies, including age-appropriate volunteer-to-child ratios and check-in/check-out safety procedures. All our areas are safe and secure, with fully screened and trained ministry workers.

We have age appropriate teaching and programs for all kids ages 6-months to grade 6! Take a look above at our programs for more information!

Check in has been made so simple through the church centre app. Download the app and add Kingdom City as a church. Once you have registered your kids, you can pre-check them in. You can do this at home, in the car or any time before you arrive at the church. When you do this you will receive a QR code that can quickly and easily be scanned at any one of our self check-in points. without touching anything, your stickers will print and your children will be all checked in. The name sticker goes on your child and the security code stays with the parents for pick up.
If apps are not your thing, you can enter your phone number on any one of the self check-in points or visit our amazing Smile Team at the registration desk in the Family Room or in the Foundation room and they’ll be excited to help you.

We closely adhere to Plan to Protect® Policies ensuring all of our leaders are carefully screened and safe. We have a diligent screening process including a 6-month waiting period, an application, police background check, interview and ongoing classroom and abuse prevention training. There are also ratios in each room to protect your child and the leaders and there will never be one adult alone in a room with children. Furthermore, we are meticulous about check-out, making sure all children are safe and dismissed with their correct adult. Make sure to hang on to your security sticker or if you lose it, be prepared with photo ID for pick up!

We all need our momma from time to time! If your child needs you we will simply send you a text message to the number we have on file for you. Please ensure you keep your information up to date.

Absolutely. We have a room just for you called the Family Room! Located to the left of the sanctuary close to the Early Childhood room, this room is designed to be a place where you can still take in the service, while caring for/comforting your child and letting them get some energy out. We also have a nursing mothers room located within the Family room as well.

Your child will learn that they are loved by God and valued as his creation. They will learn the gospel-narrative of the whole bible: That God created the heavens and the earth and everything in it and He said it was good. Then Adam and Eve sinned and sin passed to all people so that our relationship with God was broken. But even though we were still sinners, Christ died for us so that our relationship with God could be restored. Jesus rose from the dead and gave us His Holy Spirit as our helper here on earth and one day, Jesus will come back to earth again and take all those who trust in Him to a new heaven and new earth.

It happens. A room may fill up because we have reached the limit of kids for the space or because we are short on leaders in your child’s room. If this happens, please make sure to put your name on the waitlist at the registration desk and we’ll be sure to contact you if we can make room! You child is welcome to join you in the service or you can stream the service together in the family room!
